Family Practice Areas
During a divorce or separation, the parties involved must make arrangements for the care of the children involved. Bennett Henry Law can assist with these arrangements. Maureen Bennett-Henry
Maureen Bennett Henry is the principal counsel at Bennett Henry Law.
Maureen was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013, after completing both the NCA's and the Internationally Trained Lawyers program at the University of Toronto.
Bennett Henry Law is a general practice; focused on Family Law, your family law matter is more than just a file because it matters to Maureen. Every family is uniquely and wonderfully made. As such each family needs a uniquely tailored solution to fit their particular needs.
Maureen is culturally aware, compassionate and pragmatic. As early as consultation, you will be provided with possible options for resolution in an honest, sensitive and cost effective manner.
Maureen has appeared in both the Superior and Ontario courts of Justice, with experience gleaned as both private and per diem duty counsel.
Maureen enjoys serving her clients and community. In the past Maureen has served as Director of Membership for - Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL). Prior to that, she served as Co-chair for Community Liaison. She also served Volunteer Tutor at the Peel Guild of Literacy and was Past President of another Volunteer Board for several years.
Maureen presents at Mandatory Information Sessions providing litigants in the Family Law Court process with an overview of the Court procedures and expectations while in the process.
Most recently Maureen has acted as co principal and principal for Articling Student and a mentor. She has also acted as an Assessor with the Ryerson's Law Practice Program and a mentor with the Trial Advocacy workshop.
Outside of advocacy, Maureen enjoys outdoors, reading, swimming and socializing with family and friends. Maureen is always ready for traveling which she really enjoys.
